Extremely poor service and product. My son saved his money for 2 years to buy the Envy Prodigy and within one week the rear bearing was making a horrible noise. Went through the warranty claim , jumped through countless hoops sending video's , photos etc. Only to wait for 2 weeks to be told, sorry consumable part, won't cover - FAILED AFTER ONE WEEK!!! Please note they don't let you pay by Paypal or credit card so you can't hold them to account and get easy refund!!! Really angry with this bunch, will take to Fair trading!!
Do not buy from scooter hut. Horrible customer service and they don't honour the warranty. I went there to buy a scooter for daily commute to work. They sold me a kaabo duo mantis within 2 month and under 200km it broke (in dry conditions) almost causing a serious accident. In the shop the first thing the told me before even looking at the scooter was that water damage is not under warranty. What a surprise days later they came back to me claiming water damage and i would have to pay. The manual states the scooter can be ridden on wet road and through puddles not deeper than 1/2 inch. I have only ridden the scooter on one or two occasions on a wet road no rain. Before the breakdown we had dry conditions for weeks.
My eleven year old son received some money from his grandma to buy himself a scooter for Christmas. It arrived and was assembled shortly after Boxing Day, but the bearings in the headset would creek really badly. So we slackened them off, but the bars were then way too loose. We checked and double checked we'd assembled everything correctly. And we had. In fact, if you've ever put a scooter headset together, you'll know how easy it is, and how few parts there are, with a single nut on top to tighten everything up. You can't really go wrong. But despite the video I sent them of the creaking, the time I spent on the phone (when I could get through) and the emails I sent that they ignored, it was obvious they had no interest in sending out replacement bearings. I've met companies like this before. Upstarts that think they're always right. That they're Gods gift and they've the best products in the world. But a wise person will always assume otherwise first. It's now six weeks on and I've just picked my sons DNA scooter up from a different shop nearby. And, as I thought, it needed new bearings. I was going to send Scooter Hutt the $85 bill, but I know they'd ignore that too, just like their Customer Service supervisor said in the Tweed heads office on the phone. Folks, if you're buying for your children, or for yourself. You might pay a little bit more elsewhere, but it's well worth avoiding these people. I just heard from my son that his friend also bought one of these, and that creaks really bad too. In fact, he paid the company to assemble it before shipping. What does that tell you?
Ordered x3 scooters in late Nov 2020.
Today is 22nd Dec, and they still have not arrived!
No communication and there is not a phone number to call. Emailed a week ago, & reply took 4 days to reply, but still could not give me a specific date. We are now unable to give these to our 3 children as left to go away for Christmas on the 20th.
Sorry, Will never use this company again.
Terrible customer services never called me to update me on my scooter repair and still havent got a return phone call on my refund
My order was never delivered and Scooter Hut refused to refund the transport costs.
